running scripts and charging for open source
By mooseme - December 3rd, 2008
The new platform ipower has switched to will not allow scripts to be run to create databases thus many installations will not install. arrg. I have been with ipower many years in spite of others telling me to switch. I have remained loyal but now I am very irritated. They CHARGE for open source stuff like joomla phpnuke oscommerce etc. and do not like you running scripts to install your own, good grief. their support is bone headed, Support cannot repeat more than sentence at a time.
Has anyone figured out anyway to load many databases in one fell swoop.? prob not. I may have to jump ship and migrate all to a new server

Creating databases isn't important as long as they let you do it some way or another (probably the control panel). Once you have a database you can tell your script to use it and it'll work just fine.
